What we love about
our daycare

Balance

At Skills For Life Child Care, we help teach your little ones how to recognize and create balanced healthy habits. We focus on helping your little one find balance in social, emotional, mental, nutritional, physical, developmental and personal hygiene.

For us to provide the best possible care, please feel free to communicate any needs, wants, concerns and structure or routine changes regarding your child. It is only through good parent & provider interaction that good quality nurturing care can be achieved.

You Know Our Staff

There is no staff turnover at Skills For Life Child Care! Parent's schedule will not be disrupted because a care provider has moved on. Your children will grow up knowing the same loving and caring provider they meet on the first day of attendance.

Small Ratios

At Skills For Life Child Care, we keep our ratios small to ensure children get the attention and care every child needs to grow!
Our ratios are a maximum of 7 Children with up to 2 staff members a day. Both staff members at Skills For Life have very flexible availability for care.  With adjustable hours gives us the opportunity to keep over ratios even lower than the Community Care and Assisted Living Act's standards to help everyone during the busiest times of our days.

Being Out Doors

We offer an outdoor based child care program. Every chance we get, we're outside having fun! The core of our outdoor activities are based on early childhood develop and observation. Lesson plans encourage children to build their skills and confidence. Through play and exploration in our neighborhood, we consistently strive to find meaningful ways for children to connect with nature, each other, themselves, their community and the living world around them.

Curriculum & Development

We offer a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers to explore and experience. We have wonderful indoor and outdoor areas, and our staff provides a warm, caring environment that promotes positive social skills, problem-solving and self-discipline. We know that children learn by doing, and as such, we implement an Emergent Curriculum Program. This means your kids are our focus! Our activities are child-centered and emerge from the creativity and interests of the children in our program.

Staying Connected

With the ones that matter the most!

Our most convent way to share our days is are daily reports through tadpole's.  At Skills For Life Child Care, we offer several great ways for parents to stay connected with their child's daycare experience.  Open honest communication between care providers and parents is essential to help create a
happy healthy environment.
